Our cabin is situated adjacent to the Takaputahi river in the remoteness of the Raukumara Ranges, East Cape, North Island. This is a beautiful private valley, one and a half hours from Opotiki. The cabin has a comfortable lounge/dining area with open fire and plenty of seating. There are two bunkrooms, sleeping 4 & 2, with our own room separate from the main accommodation. With no power, lighting is by Kerosene lamps, but with a flush toilet, hot shower, sheets and Duvets, there is no lack of comfort. All meals are provided, and with a Campoven roast cooked over the open fire, this is a real wilderness experience. We offer fishing, rafting, kayaking, bushwalks, hunting.
