Lahar Lodge is a warm, private self contained, fully equipped log style home, separate from our homestead. A full kitchen allows you to self cater. Sleeps 6-8 people, in two queen beds, two single beds, & a fold out double couch.
Your alpine retreat is set on 600 hectares of sheep and cattle grazing land, bordering Tongariro World Heritage National Park. Lahar Farm is dominated by Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand's highest volcanic peak in the centre of the North Island.
We offer top guided rifle/bow/camera stalking to wild Red, Sika and Fallow deer. Private trout fishing/dingy, canoes on our Lahar lake, bird watching, farm walks, 4WD self guide trek around Lahar farm. Ski or hike Tongariro.
