At Marjes place we offer backpacker and home stay budget accommodation. People from all over the world have stayed with us during the summer months, short term or long term, to work on orchards, irrigation and vineyards. We offer great hospitality and everyone is treated like family by the hosts; Marj, Murray Blyth and daughter Lauren.
Based in Alexandra we are central to Dunedin and Invercargill and only one hour away from Queenstown and Wanaka. We are also one hour from ski fields, and 10km from the beginning of the Central Otago rail trail. We will assist you with job search and advise on sightseeing. Meals are available on request at an extra cost.
