A luxury lodge catering for a maximum of six people. A little off the beaten track but only 7 kilometres from Hanmer Springs Alpine Spa Village, we offer a New Zealand home style experience. We have three double rooms all with ensuite and private patios overlooking the Hanmer and Waiau rivers to the mountains beyond. The views from Charwell lodge are unsurpassed by any other accommodation provider in the Hanmer basin. Private out door spa, a large lounge and open fire add to the warmth and hospitality. Only 5 mins to the thermal pools, 40 mins to Canterbury Wine district or two hours to Kaikoura & Whale watch. Join your hosts Bill & Judy Clarkson for a pre dinner glass of wine before dining at any of the excellent restaurants in Hanmer.
