Situated in Central Otago, Kokonga Lodge provides stylish accommodation for travellers. Overlooking the Taieri River and alongside the Otago Central Rail Trail, the lodge sits on an elevated landscaped site with stunning views over the Maniototo.
Hosted by Dorothy and Malcolm, the lodge offers a full breakfast, pre-dinner glass of wine and a 3 course dinner (optional). The 6 individually themed rooms have ensuites and one room is an accessible unit.
A half day bike ride from Middlemarch, the lodge is perfectly situated as the first or the last accommodation for the full trail. Alternatively as stay-put accommodation the lodge can supply bikes, goldpans and fishing gear. Try curling or ice skating in winter. Transport is available.
