Opening soon (summer 2007-08),Kenepuru Eco-lodge homestay will offer "shared", "twin" and "double" accommodation styles for a maximum 6 guests. Camping sites also available. Self-catering. Meals by arrangement.
Secluded tranquil location in native forest (QE II covenanted) at Kaiaho Point, in the middle of Kenepuru Sound. Access by boat or by tramp/hike (1 km from nearest road; 3 km from Queen Charlotte Track). Boat pick-up by arrangement.
Great views, beach, native birds, interpretive walking tracks. Emphasis on sustainable, enviro-friendly living with solar power & water heating, composting toilets, roof-collected rain water, carbon-absorbing forest, and exotic pest control. Focus on environmental education.
