Burnside Homestead

Burnside Homestead is on a 19th century Victorian country estate. Registered Category 1 by the NZ Historic Places Trust, describing it as "visually and aesthetically outstanding. Set in a superb 10 acre park. Its 21 rooms revolve like a wheel around a central octagonal reception hall.
Both exterior and interior feature elaborately detailed Scottish architecture, with original decor, fabrics and antiques. Open for public viewing daily.
