Mount Cook Ski Planes offer the most spectacular alpine scenic flights in the world. Our aircraft take you from Aoraki Mount Cook Airport or Franz Josef directly into the heart of the Southern Alps including Aoraki/Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest peak at over 3750m and the Tasman Glacier. A unique flight seeing adventure with the only Ski Planes in NZ. Unlike other snow glacier landings the engine of the plane is shut down after landing on the snow so you can enjoy the natural quiet of the Southern Alps. Glacier landing can occur on the Fox, Franz Josef or Tasman Glaciers. Mount Cook Ski Planes celebrate 50 years of flight seeing operations in September 2005.
