The Northland Firehouse Museum was established due to public demand to view this large private collection. The Museum is one of the largest of its kind in New Zealand. It has eleven full sized appliances, some of which are housed in a purpose built Fire Station. There are over 1200 models on display plus uniforms from New Zealand and overseas, also patches and fire memorabilia.
The Museum also has a comprehensive photographic data base on most appliances used by the Fire Service over the years. You can wander around the gardens visiting the bird aviary, pheasants and miniature horses or lavender in the summer. Group visits specially catered for. For further information please contact us.
