The Pencil Gallery - Gisborne City Art Gallery & Dealer is the only established art dealer in Gisborne and was established in 2004 by directors Matt Nache Clarke & Gene Paul, The Pencil Gallery is an innovative art dealer devoted to promoting and exhibiting contemporary art in New Zealand. The gallery currently represents a number of highly esteemed artists both recognised and emerging, who have a significant exhibition history and whose works are held in private & public collections both in New Zealand and abroad. In addition to exhibiting new work from our represented solo artists, the gallery exhibits regular curated exhibitions which showcase a broad spectrum of contemporary art, contemporary Maori art and investment art.
