Epic Adventures is based in Tairua, on the Eastern seaboard of The Coromandel. Our 6 metre Stabicraft is set up to guide personalised groups of 1-3 divers.
Our dive sites include the Aldermen Islands; a sanctaury located 10 miles offshore. Landing is prohibited, but the diving around these islands is some of the best in New Zealand. Visibility here ranges from 15m through to 30m plus and there is a diverse range of colourful marine life, especially big stingrays, kingfish, wrasse, snapper and crayfish. While this is not a marine reserve our dives here are strictly look but don't touch.
Closer inshore we also run 'catch and cook' dive adventures for those wanting a taste of local seafood like crayfish and scallops.
