This is a concessional activity with numbers limited to 7 per night. We interpret bird calls along the way and have a detailed knowledge of the local area and its history.
We explain the Maori myths and legends that surround the story as to how a kiwi became a ground dwelling bird. Once we reach the kiwi habitat, we listen for kiwi activity. We will hear the bird calling – the very unique sound resonating for miles into the quiet of the night.
