Dolphin Rendezvous offers the opportunity for you to encounter whales in their own natural environment. All excursions take place onboard Zig Zag, our 58 foot catamaran, in the waters of Doubtless Bay and Cape Kari Kari.
Orcas (Killer Whales) are more abundant offshore as summer approaches. They normally range outside the Bay and are more reliably seen on full day or overnight excursions. We talk to you about the importance of whales and some of what they do for Man the Changing and the Earth. We also talk to you about whale movements and why some migration patterns are changing. Doubtless Bay/Cape Kari Kari area has an abundance of food and is a main feeding area for whales of many species. Half day cruise includes swim with dolphins.
