Do what the locals do. For the ultimate 'Kiwi' experience we have added, Guided Walk, Cruise and Gather to our trips into the Abel Tasman National Park. This one is for the more adventurous traveller. As well as a guided walk through lush native bush, we visit and lunch at an authentic 'kiwi' bach built early last century. Following lunch we are picked up by 'Captain Haddy' in his 30ft Niad charter boat the Jamie Lee. Then follows over three hours of cruising the Abel Tasman, checking Cray pots for crayfish (lobster), and dredging for succulent NZ scallops. An adventure filled day where you may be required to measure scallops as your contribution to the catch! $NZ270pp, minimum four adult fares. Includes share of the catch to take away.
