Queenstown is the most spectacular place in New Zealand to fly in a hot air balloon! We take off at sunrise when the air is clear and stable. You will see a panorama of lakes and mountains stretching from Mt Cook, (3765 metres) in the north to Mt Tutoko in Fiordland.
We fly in a valley near beautiful Lake Wakatipu and the Shotover River surrounded by mountains up to 2400 metres high, (8,000 feet).
After landing and packing the balloon away we enjoy a champagne-style breakfast before returning to Queenstown.
