Living History NZ offers unique heritage activities showcasing life in early NZ that includes a live history show daily in summer in Oamaru’s world renowned Victorian histories precinct & tours to historic homesteads & great estates. All themed, costumed experiences that engage and immerse the visitor ‘back in time’. The Great Estates Tour is a journey into New Zealand’s pioneer past visiting the grant homesteads & great estates of yesteryear. Costumed guides, meet historic characters. Taste traditional period food. The great storm of 1868 is an exciting live historic show that transforms Oamaru’s world renowned Victorian buildings into a place of magic. Performed daily in summer.
