Lake Wanaka has 200 sq km of cool, clear mountain water. We catch pristine Quinnat Salmon, Rainbow and Brown Trout. Our comfortable 7.8 metre cabin boat gets us quickly to our favourite fishing spots. We use trolling rods, downrigger and harling equipment (up to four fishing at once) to hunt the shores, weed beds and the mighty Matukituki river mouth running into the lake.
Wanaka has year round good fishing and scenery that never ceases to impress with many mountain cliff drop offs, bays and islands to explore and fish around. Beginners and non fishing members welcome, we provide all equipment and morning or afternoon tea. Allow three hours minimum.
