Whale Island Tours

Whale Island tours. Whale (Moutohora) Island is 6 kilometers from Whakatane. Once privately owned and almost barren, it is now a wildlife sanctuary and a wonderful example of restoration with an abundance of endangered NZ wildlife.
Our marine based eco tours or land based tours are options to view the Island.
Our booking office also includes educational facilities for Marine mammals and a Whale Island History museum with information centre. It includes a small auditorium for pre trip familiarization videos and other Educational screenings.
