"Sails" Guided Ulva Island Discovery walks offer guests a relaxed and detailed insight into Ulva Island, one of the most pristine areas of Natural New Zealand. Group numbers are generally less than 6 per guide as we beleive larger parties seriously degrade the experience. Guides (Peter & Iris) have between them over 70 years association with Ulva Island. Peter was at one time Stewart Island Forest Ranger in Charge, and Iris a foundation Trustee of Ulva Island. Tours run at times to suit guests and the weather, as we have our own large charter yacht. Tours are very relaxed, take around 4 hours and include all transfers to and from accommodation. We also offer specialist "Birding" tours which are separate from our general interest tour.
