In a one day tour from Christchurch (picnic lunch/morning/afternoon tea included) see the rare White Flippered (and sometimes the endangered Yellow Eyed) Penguins up close as you lift the lid and look in to see them. Depending on the time of year you may see their fluffy chicks in their nest boxes perched high on the old lava flows of an extinct volcano.
Magnificent scenery, a breathtaking 4WD descent of the steep slope, and a tour of scenic Akaroa are guaranteed. The penguins are entirely wild and come and go as they please we therefore are not always able to guarantee you will see them in their habitat.
However there are usually some injured ones that can be seen/fed around the homestead as well as other friendly farm animals.
