A comfortable lodge based guided walk, the Hollyford Track is a favourite with Cox & Kings Travel.

Hollyford Track

3 Days / 2 Nights

Located in the spectacular Fiordland National Park, the Hollyford Track guided wilderness experience is one of New Zealand’s best walks. During the three day walk you will pass snow-capped mountains, the rugged west coast, native rainforests and remote sand dunes. Your experienced guide will point out the fauna and flora you encounter, as well as giving accounts of Maori and European history in the area. Accommodation in purpose built private lodges is basic but comfortable and all meals are included.

Day 1 Hollyford Track: Depart Queenstown this morning and travel to the beginning of the Hollyford Track. Today you will walk approximately 17 km, passing native rainforest, alpine views, rivers and waterfalls. Overnight at Pyke Lodge.

Day 2 Hollyford Track: Today you will walk approximately 12 km, visiting historical Pioneer sites and a New Zealand fur seal colony. Overnight at Martin’s Bay Lodge.

Day 3 Hollyford Track: After breakfast you will begin today’s 8 km walk. Sights include historical Maori sites and rugged coastline. At the end of the walk you will have a scenic flight to Milford Sound before being transferred back to Queenstown.

Suggestions for combinations: Stewart Island, Coromandel Peninsula, Bay of Islands
