Facing my second biggest fear

My battles with cancer have taught that a positive mindset is key when facing your fears. Heights were my second biggest fear until I skydived in NZ!:)

Apart from coming to New Zealand to see the most beautiful country in the world I also came here to conquer my second biggest fear.. Heights! My biggest fear came true a few years ago when I was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. I had always planned to come to NZ but kept putting it off. Not this time! New Zealand has featured heavily in my 101 Things To Do When You Survive list and after 18 months of travelling I've finally arrived in my dream country. Thing #20 on my list is to Skydive. I have wanted to do this ever since I first saw the film Point Break. I remember thinking it looked like the most amazing thing you could possibly to do on this wonderful earth. I developed my 101 list to inspire others to believe that cancer can beaten and that there is a happy full life waiting for them they do. With my skydive I wanted to inspire people suffering at the hands of fear. If I could overcome this fear then I could overcome any fear. There was only one place for me to do this amazing feat, Queenstown. I went with what I knew to be the safest and most experienced company I could find, Nzone. Nzone invented the tandem skydive so I knew I was in safe hands. I wasn't disappointed and not only conquered my fear but loved every single second of it! Definitely one for your list!
