A new tandem skydiving altitude record was set over the weekend in Franz Josef with the team at Skydive Franz when they did a one off load to 20,000ft.
As part of the Gravity Gives Project raising funds for Save the Children NZ, Skydive Franz took the top three fundraisers up to a jaw-dropping altitude of 20,000ft.
The 20,000ft jump is the highest tandem skydive ever achieved in New Zealand and is qualified as a new record by the New Zealand Parachute Federation.
The three lucky jumpers to be taken to 20,000ft were Lorrayn Dash (Runanga), Jeynelle Brian (Runanga) and Duncan Shand (Lake Brunner). Between them the trio raised over $4000.00 for Save the Children NZ through the Gravity Gives Project.
