Summer travel in the Coromandel

Summer is almost here so it won't be long till lazy days at the beach and the Christmas break. Cool.

The Coromandel Peninsula is a popular summer holiday destination. There is so much to see and do.

Whangamata is a popular holiday retreat along with Pauanui & Cooks Beach, and Whitianga on Mercury Island is renowned for its yachting.

The Coromandel Peninsula's waters are famous for diving, fishing and a range of water sports.

Visitors flock to Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach, and beachside camping is a must when visiting the region.

The white sandy beaches of the region are a great place to enjoy family time, a BBQ or picnic while chilling out over the great kiwi summer.

More inland, there is Karangahake Gorge, New Zealand’s 14th wonder. The Hauraki Rail Trail cycle trail can be accessed from Thames, Paeroa, Waihi, Waikino, or Te Aroha.

If you are planning a break away this season to the Coromandel why not try a campervan holiday?
