Kawarau Jet Rotorua

For the ultimate adrenaline rush you can’t beat Kawarau Jet and K-Jet Parasailing.  The Kawarau jet boat takes you on a 30 minute action packed ride on Lake Rotorua.  Complete with the power of a V8 engine you will experience speed, spins and have some amazing sightseeing thrown in along the way. 

As well as speeding across Lake Rotorua, Kawarau Jet have other packages available including travelling across Lake Rotorua to the Ohau channel, then onto Lake Rotoiti, finishing at the peaceful Manupirua Hot Pools. 
The K-jet parasailing experience lets you take off from dry land, then a boat will tow you as you drift up to 400 feet high so you can see over Rotorua and beyond.  This is an incredible experience you can do solo or tandem all year round.

River Rats Kayaking

If you want an active day then what better way to experience the Rotorua outdoors than by Kayak. The River Rats kayak company will guide you through the beautiful Ohau Channel where you can experience stunning scenery and wildlife up close. 

Once you get to Lake Rotoiti you have the option of climbing on board the Tiua and spending the rest of your day swimming, jet skiing, fishing or just relaxing with a drink.

Rotorua Duck Tours

Rotorua Duck tours is a unique attraction offering amphibious sightseeing tours of Rotorua and its stunning lakes area.  Your mode of transport is a WWII Military Landing Craft, travelling both on land and through the water.  
Their 90 minute tour journeys through town visiting local landmarks and sharing stories and legends of the past.  Highlights include Lake Rotorua, Mokoia Island, Geothermal Sulphur Point, Government Gardens, The Museum, and the Blue Baths.  The adventure continues out to the spectacular lake’s area for “SPLASHDOWN” into Lakes Tikitapu (Blue Lake) and Okareka.

Their 2 hour tour heads straight out for “Splashdown” into Lake Okareka.  The journey continues past the sacred Lake Rotokakahi (Green Lakes) onto Lake Tarawera to view the magnificent volcanic domes of Mount Tarawera and hear stories of the devastating Tarawera eruption of 1886.  Your return trip brings into view Te Wairoa (Buried Village) before splashing down into Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake), your third lake visit, before heading back into town.
