Here we pay homage to the most spectacular and unique bridges of New Zealand.
A short walk from the Haast Highway, in Mount Aspiring National Park, are the Blue Pools with some of the bluest water the world has to offer. It's so clear that from the bridge you can often see New Zealand’s famous brown and rainbow trout migrating. Picture by @annes_travelbooklet.
Ok, so technically this isn't a picture of a bridge. But no bridge listicle would be complete without honoring the strong kiwi tradition of jumping off them. So why not experience bungy jumping off one of the many bridges around the country. Picture by @emirga(opens in new window).
This historic bridge crosses over the Shotover River in the South Island of New Zealand. It's listed by the New Zealand Historic Places and was originally built to help ease the passage of gold miners in the region. Picture by @stockman05.(opens in new window)
