Allan was a pioneer in the Marlborough wine industry. He planted some of the first commercially grown grapes in the region back in 1973. He is one of the few people who have been involved with every vintage in Marlborough since. Still family owned and operated, a visit to the Cellar Door is a must. Taste the wines and hear stories about the winemaking history and processes, told by the friendly Cellar Door Hosts.
Stay on for lunch in the restaurant, explore the immaculate gardens with fountains and giant chess, or browse through the unique gifts.
Or simply find a quiet spot on a beanbag, glass of wine in hand, and enjoy the relaxing environment. You may even bump into Allan himself.
