Experience the TranzAlpine train journey on a guided day tour from Christchurch. Travel by road to Springfield. Board the TranzAlpine train to travel through the Southern Alps to Arthur’s Pass - admire the stunning alpine scenery through panoramic windows. From Arthur’s Pass, tour the snow-capped Southern Alps in Arthur’s Pass National Park, pausing for photo stops along the way. Visit the old village of Otira before returning to Arthur’s Pass for lunch. Explore the picturesque village of Arthur’s Pass and some of the many local walks. On the return drive to Christchurch, visit a High Country Sheep Farm for afternoon tea and experience an exhilarating Jet Boat Ride (optional extra) on the Waimak River before returning to Christchurch.
