Our website help hikers of what track to walk before downloading the app. The Great Hikes App is the only mobile app designed for the DOC NZ Great Walks. It is free, works offline, has mobile GPS guidance and has 1,500+ pages of content.

The Great Hikes App website helps walkers with which Great Walk to pick. The app has a blog about each track. The Great Hikes App is completely free from the App and Play Stores and is the only app designed for the Department of Conservation's NZ Great Walks.

Once the App and track is downloaded it:
- works completely offline
- has live GPS guidance
- offers 500+ pages of relevant stops, photos, links
- has elevations profiles and helpful hints
- all track section descriptions and photos
