Wellington Tramway Museum (Paekakariki)

Southward Car Museum (Paraparaumu)
The Southward Car Museum is home to the largest private car collection in the southern hemisphere. There are more than 400 automobiles, plus aircraft, bicycles, vintage tools and other vehicular memorabilia.
Museum of Aviation (Paraparaumu)
Overlooking the the airfield runways, this museum was opened to preserve New Zealand aviation history, and in particular the aviation history of the Kapiti district. Photos, models and collections pay homage to our national air carrier as well as some of our small airline companies.
Kapiti Coast Museum (Waikanae)
Housed in the old Waikanae Post Office, the Kapiti Coast Museum is home to extensive displays of everyday life from the pioneering era.
