You’ll find a vast selection of holiday parks and designated campervan parks throughout the length and breadth of New Zealand. Although it’s likely that the majority of your stay in NZ will be in camping grounds, you may prefer to take up accommodation in a hotel or motel close to whichever branch/office you’re picking up from on arrival in the country. In fact, we recommend it given you may be a bit jet-lagged after a long flight – rest up so you’re refreshed before hitting the road.
It’s highly recommended that you pre-book your first and last night's stay early, especially over peak seasons such as Christmas through to the end of February. The Britz booking service allows you to book one or several holiday parks under one transaction.
Camping ground information
New Zealand has many campervan/motorhome accommodation options, so how do you decide which one to stay at? We recommend that you opt for a Qualmark® rated holiday park.
Qualmark® is New Zealand tourism's official mark of quality. A tourism business that carries Qualmark® is a business that has been independently assessed as professional and trustworthy, so you can book with confidence.
Many Qualmark* parks are located in prime coastal, river and lakeside locations that mean you can enjoy waking up in some of the most scenic spots in the world! The cost of powered sites, per night, (sites with power points for suitably wired vehicles like our motorhomes) ranges from NZD$18 to NZD$40 per night (subject to change).
TOP 10 is the premier New Zealand holiday parks and campgrounds (motor camps) group.
Holiday Parks provide New Zealand's best leisure accommodation.
