Split Apple Rock

Just 50 metres of the coast between Kaiteriteri and Marahau near Abel Tasman National Park lies Split Apple Rock. Made out of granite the rock looks just like its name implies, an apple that has been cut in half.

Mine Bay rock carving

Take a boat trip or kayak to the 10 metre high Maori rock carvings on Lake Taupo. These carvings depict a visionary Maori navigator who guided the local tribes to the area over a thousand years ago.
