About

We guide you out on the water in our beautiful Bay Of Islands where it all all began, here in New Zealand. We take you through the history from early settlers in Russell and out on the islands, James Cook and the first complex meetings between Pakahe and Maori. Further we talk about quite dramatic events out on the islands as well as the development the islands have gone through. We take you through stunning passages and if weather permits we go all the way to the Motukokako Island (Cape Brett/Hole in the Rock), that has a very special historical impact and meaning. This guided historical tour is created together with Russell Museum and Kororareka Marae and our guide on board is tangata whenua, trained by the museum and the Marae.
