Weather permitting. If the weather is not safe to go we will cancel our trips. We then offer you either a full refund or a chance to transfer to another time. Groups of 10 or more get $5 off per person.

No refund is given in the case of missing the bus.
Great option for those that have their own car and want flexibility in time and low cost transport. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing goes from one side of the mountain to the other. A very popular option for the independent travellers is to park at the end of the track at Ketetahi on SH46 and to catch a one way shuttle to the start of the track at Mangatepopo. This way you are hiking back to your car. No need to wait for or miss a bus in the afternoon. When you book online we send you clear directions on how to get there and where to park. The parking area is on SH46 near the Ketetahi car park. We give you a map and information sheet to help you enjoy, respect and be safe in this alpine environment.
