You’ll want to pack in as much as possible in Queenstown – there’s just so much to see and do! The home of bungy jumping, skydiving and jet boating, this is the place to create unforgettable, adrenaline-fuelled memories. Below, we show you how to craft the ultimate day in Queenstown, year-round.

9am - Jump start the day with a bungy

Home of New Zealand’s first-ever commercial bungy jumping operation, Queenstown is the best place in the country to take that heart-pumping leap of faith! At the Kawarau Bridge Bungy, perched 43m above the jewel-coloured Kawarau River, the views are simply spectacular. Embrace the fear.

Make it happen: 20 minutes from Central Queenstown is the Kawarau Bridge Bungy, on State Highway 6 in the Gibbston Valley.

12pm - Fly high on the luge

In-keeping with the morning’s adrenaline theme, head along to Skyline Luge Queenstown for a gravity-fuelled adventure complete with yet more panoramicviews. For those that are keen to take it easy (or get your heart rate back to normal after your bungy), the scenic track has a gentle gradient with slow bends. The Advanced Track is perfect for those keen to get the blood pumping; with this option, you’ll encounter thrilling tunnels, dips and corners.

Make it happen: The Skyline luge is accessed via the Skyline Gondola, a 5 minute walk from Queenstown central.

2pm - Freefall with a Skydive

For the ultimate bird’s eye views over the Southern Alps, Queenstown and beyond, you can’t beat a Skydive. Tandem skydive from 15,000 ft, and travel at speeds reaching 200kph before floating gently back to earth via parachute. Be brave – this is highly recommended; you’ll be buzzing about your Skydive for weeks following!

Make it happen: NZONE Skydive Queenstown has been operating for 25 years and is open year-round. Booking in advance is recommended.

3pm - Soak it up in a hot pool

Queenstown’s Onsen Hot Pools are like none you’ve ever seen before. Nestled high above the Shotover River,  relax in your own, private Oak tub, and soak up the views with a remote controlled opening. Perfect to bring the heart rate back down to normal after an adrenaline-fuelled morning!

Make it happen: Booking in advance at Onsen Hot Pools is recommended. You’ll find them on 160 Arthur’s Point Road, 10 minutes by car from Queenstown city centre.

9pm - Party all night

Say ‘cheers’ to an epic Queenstown day with drinks surrounded by good mates and a roaring fire. There are plenty of places for a delicious, hearty dinner – highly recommended is Fergburger. A famous Queenstown staple, these burgers are quintessentially kiwi and made fresh every time. Steamer Wharf or the bars clustered around the town centre make for an awesome location to catch up over drinks.

Make it happen: Fergburger is located on Shotover Street – lines can be long, but the wait is most definitely worth it!
