An easy 40-minute loop walk leads you through a spectacular stand of kauri. This large Kauri Tree is about 1,200 years old and is so tall that the distance even to the first branch is 7.6 metres, and its diameter measures 3.5 metres. This tree can be found along the Bush Walk in Trounson Kauri Park, in Northland, on the North Island of New Zealand. These trees are a sight to see, because they can only be found above the 38 degree line, in the northern district of New Zealand's North Island. This tree is not the largest, but is the tallest tree in the country.
