More on Juan Pablo
When Juan Pablo Galavis, a former professional soccer player from Venezuela, stepped out of the limo last season to meet Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock, he also stepped into the hearts of female fans across the country, women who were taken with his sincerity, easy-going charm and good looks. The dashing single dad, very devoted to his young daughter, Camila, was ready to find love. Despite failing to win Desiree’s heart, Juan Pablo became one of the most talked-about men of the season; now, he is back with his own chance to find the love of his life and a wife — as well as a stepmother to his daughter — from among 27 beautiful bachelorettes. Follow Juan Pablo’s search for his soul mate in the 18th edition of The Bachelor Mondays (8:00–10:01 p.m., ET) on ABC.
Mysterious one-on-one date
Juan Pablo and his one-on-one date enjoyed a mysterious jet boat ride along the mighty Waikato River to The Squeeze, an activity branded as a hidden gem by locals. Here they got to grips with each other as they maneuvered through narrow crevasses and climbed over boulders before finding themselves surrounded by native New Zealand forest, under a gushing waterfall – romance at its very best.

OGO, Rotorua

Later that evening the duo enjoy traditional New Zealand cuisine at Te Puia, Rotorua’s home of Maori culture and marvelled at the Pohutu geyser, one of the most stunning geysers to be found in the geothermal wonderland.

Adrenaline-filled group date
The group date was all about adventure as Juan Pablo took the girls for a spin at the adrenaline filled OGO, where they rolled down a hill inside a giant inflatable ball.

Their unexpected journey continued when they arrived at The Hobbiton Movie Set. Housed in the rural village of Matamata, Hobbiton is one of New Zealand’s most loved tourist attractions and home to the hobbit holes as seen in the blockbuster The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. As well as dining in the delightful Green Dragon Inn, complete with cosy fireplace, Juan Pablo wooed the ladies beneath the legendary party tree and amongst the various Hobbit holes. The Green Dragon Inn is replicated from the movie set.

Romantic one-on-one date

The first ever Latino Bachelor took his final one-on-one date to Tarata Fishaway Lodge near Taihape, where they enjoyed a romantic afternoon below the dramatic canyons of the Rangitikei River. The pair finished off the evening with a candle-lit dinner on the balcony of Juan Pablo’s penthouse suite at the Hilton Taupo.

Rose Ceremony
The dramatic rose ceremony and deliberation was set at the tranquil Blake House at Poronui Lodge, one of the world’s premier wilderness lodges, surrounded by crystal clear mountain waters, native beech forest, ferns and lush alpine meadows.

Luxury Accommodation

Live like a bachelor at the Hilton Lake Taupo, which overlooks the picturesque Lake Taupo. Juan Pablo himself stayed in the hotel’s penthouse suite. The Hilton Lake Taupo is minutes away from the charming Taupo town center and 15 minutes from Taupo airport. Including the Heritage wing, which was built in 1889 and the new wing, it contains 113 rooms.
