Acerca de
Papakura Museum was established in 1962 by the Papakura & Districts Historical Society. The Museum is a community establishment that focuses on telling the rich and diverse history of Papakura and surrounding districts. A permanent display of text, image and local artefact tells the story of settlement, colonisation, industry, war, farming and progress.
Each year the Museum also hosts at least four short-term exhibits, or travelling exhibitions on a variety of local, regional, national and international topics. Between 2014 and 2019 the World War I centenary will take centre stage with a number of exhibitions and activities being planned.
