Whites Track is mostly dry year round and offers some great views as it follows a spur up to Anawhata Road. To save the logistical headache of organising a pick up from one end, a good option is to combine your walk with the Rose Track and descend down Anawhata Road before returning back to North Piha beach via the Laird Thompson Track. This circuit makes a great half day walk through beautiful coastal forest and offers great views of Whites Beach and south along the Piha Coast. The added bonus of dry shoes in winter makes it a good option for a quick mid winter run.
