Narrow tracks with steep drops mean a competent driver is required.... unless we are chauffeuring you in our vehicle.... then you can sit back and take in the view
With no cell phone coverage or AA rescue it is imperative you have a guide from 4x4 Adventures
Having us a your guides whilst tagging along in your vehicle ( or ours) makes for a pleasant stress free trip as the "what if's" dont apply.. What if we break down/get lost/get stuck in the mud etc.

All our tracks are safe and not too challenging for the first time off roader and can be completed in any HIGH CLEARANCE 4 WD with adequate insurance. We are about safety and scenic in a 4WD... not seeing how many times we have to winch our way out of the mud sort of thing!! We like to end the day with the same number of vehicles as we left with!!
Travelling at a slower pace allows you time to take in the scenic splendour all around without having to watch out for other traffic
Snow capped mountains towering up beside you with crystal clear trout and salmon filled glacier fed rivers in the valleys below
After Christchurch we see no crowds or coaches for this is for those who choose to get away from it all off road. Be driven (or drive yourself in yours/our 4WDs) across open snow capped mountain sides high above turquoise braided rivers & sparkling clear lakes.
Explore one area or fit in as many of our 4WD routes as possible. Leisurely days with time for swimming or unlimited photos stops.
One day to four week custom tours, our itinerary or yours, can include time to fish, visit Lord of the Rings locations, penguins, seals,and whales.
A choice of comfortable accommodation/locations all spectacular. Morning/afternoon tea & picnic lunch included in cost & all meals and accommodation in multi day tours.
