Day visitors welcome. No pets, no fires, no smoking because of the presence of kiwi & the sensitive nature of the island.
Booking and Cancellation Policies Check-in: 2.00 pm – 6.00 pm Check-out: 10.00 am Guests may cancel their booking without charge within 48 hours of reservation. Guests will be charged a non-refundable 30% of the total price after 48hrs of reservation to secure the booking. Balance will be taken upon check-in. Guests will be charged the total price if they cancel within 14 days of arrival.
Aroha Island is a 12-hectare ecological sanctuary 12km north-east of Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands. Vehicle access via a causeway from the mainland. Guests have the chance to encounter kiwi in their natural habitat. Aroha Island offers the Kiwi Holiday Home (3 brm-sleeps 6) sea views, private lawn, WIFI, FreeviewTV, aircon/heat pump, & fully equipped kitchen. Tui Cottage (sleep up to 6). Swimming beach, bush walks. Our Eco Centre is open daily and provides information about the natural & cultural history of this unique place. A stunning venue for weddings, group or business getaways or just a relaxing holiday escape.
