About

Omaka Lodge, a boutique lodge, lies a short drive out of Taumarunui. The road follows the majestic Whanganui River and is a beautiful scenic tour at any time of the year. At the end of a tree lined sealed driveway, you’ll find Omaka Lodge and its beautiful mature gardens. Well positioned on the crest of a hill, with magnificent views of Herlihy’s Bluff and Mount Hikurangi, this wonderful lodge offers total privacy and seclusion. Situated amidst working farmland, Omaka Lodge and its expansive gardens are surrounded by the sights and sounds of everyday country life, where sheep and cattle dot rolling green-pastured hills and valleys echo to the sound of never-ending birdsong.
