De Molen - Foxton

De Molen is a full size 17th century replica Windmill. Visitors can tour the upper levels and see the inner workings of a Dutch flour mill. A visit to de Molen is a totally unique experience and a must do if you're passing through Foxton.

$2.00 - $10.00

This full size operational Dutch Windmill is open to the public 7 days a week 9am to 4pm. For a small donation you can take a self-guided tour of the upper levels and see the working parts of our flour mill. Group visits and guided tours are recommended and welcomed by prior arrangement. The ground floor of de Molen is home to The Dutch Market. Here you can purchase our stone ground flour, milled right here in de Molen,
along with yummy imported Dutch groceries including licorice, Dutch cheeses, croquettes plus much more! We also have a selection of de Molen, Dutch and NZ souvenirs. De Molen is non profit and part of The Foxton Windmill Trust Inc. We also have two cafes, The Dutch Oven Cafe and Millside Cafe, both right next to de Molen.
