Situated at the junction of four roads, Puketona is a convenient refreshment stop on the way to or from the Bay of Islands.

Situated at the junction of State Highway 10 and the road to Paihia, Puketona is a very small settlement that’s memorable for the café where the two roads meet. Nearby attractions include Haruru Falls, a horseshoe-shaped waterfall; a cheese factory specialising in edam, gouda and feta; and the arts, crafts, orchards and historic sites of Kerikeri. Functional facts: Café, no shopping or services, nearest i-SITE visitor centre is in Paihia.
