Agrodome Sheep Show
What could be a more kiwi experience than a live sheep shearing show.
The Agrodome’s world famous sheep show is a lively one-hour show which includes 19 breeds of sheep (yes there is more than one!), have the opportunity to hand feed a lamb or milk a cow and witness a live dog trial! There is also the opportunity to learn about the history of the New Zealand wool industry and do a bit of shopping.
Rainbow Springs is a wildlife park like no other, filled with stunning native flora and crystal-clear, spring-fed streams. As you make your way around the park you will be get up close to many of New Zealand’s most precious species such as Tui, Tuatara and of course Kiwi. Be sure to take the opportunity to feed the many huge, wild trout that inhabit the streams and pools through-out the park. You can laugh out loud at the hilarious bird show and scream out loud on the Big Splash water ride.
Te Puia offers you the chance to experience the cultural and geothermal wonders of Rotorua. Experience the indigenous Maori Culture first hand as you explore the onsite national Carving and Weaving Schools where local Maori create traditional arts and crafts. There is also a guided tour around the Whakarewarewa geothermal valley features bubbling mud pools and gives you the opportunity to witness the world famous Pohutu Geyser which sprouts steam and boiling water up to 30 metres high in the air.
