The walking paths surrounding Te Whare Ruruhau range from moderate to hard difficulty, and helicopters require a short climb to board therefore our experiences are only suitable for people with full mobility and fitness. Te Whare Ruruhau is an escape from many of our modern distractions, please ensure that all guests understand that there is no internet access, wifi, or cell phone signal. Guest electrical access is through two (2) USB plugs powered by our solar power system.
As a small exclusive cabin, late cancellations have a significant effect on us. • Cancellations made between 59-30 days prior to arrival incur a 50% cancellation fee. • Cancellations made 29 days or less prior to arrival, and ‘no shows’ all incur a 100% cancellation fee. • If full payment isn’t made 60 days prior to your booking your reservation will be cancelled. • All bookings cancelled within 50 prior to your trip can be shifted to new dates within 12 months.

Te Whare Ruruhau starts with an open-plan central living space with kitchen, dining and lounge areas opening onto the covered porch and spacious decks. On either side of the living space are the two double bedrooms, with every room positioned to take advantage of the amazing views and vistas.

The full bathroom features continuous hot water, flush toilet, vanity, shower. Or enjoy the view and exquisite privacy from the extra large outdoor bathtub.
