The Winery Restaurant at Mt Difficulty provides a fun atmosphere in which to enjoy a casual lunch. The kitchen is open, which offers a unique insight to a chef’s world.
The chef produces imaginative regional cuisine, and the menu showcases the freshest of produce, with a choice of substantial fare or platters to share.
The weight and texture of Mt Difficulty’s wines are a perfect complement to food. Wine recommendations for all lunch dishes are made on the menu, but a wine tasting at the Cellar counter ensures that diners will select their own personal best food and wine match.
Lunch dishes sit between $24 and $30, and glasses of wine are available from $7. Meals may include the likes of:
- Lamb cutlets with Pinot Noir braised beetroot, Israeli cous-cous, wild thyme marinated organic feta, toasted pinenuts
- Vine tomato, basil & cashew nut pesto and buffalo mozzarella tart. Baby rocket leaves, white truffle oil and fig vincotto
- Roast pork belly with wild thyme, roasted capsicums, mixed beans and an apricot, mustard & honey sauce
- The Mt Difficulty platter –a selection of antipasti, charcuterie, cheeses, nuts, dips and ciabatta
Lunch is available between 12 noon and 3pm daily. Seating is limited so reservations are essential.
