Motu Challenge and Motu 160

A gruelling but fun four stage event held in and around Ōpōtiki, in the Bay Of Plenty.

The Motu has four stages: 65 km mountain bike, 17 km run, 52 km road cycle, and multisport stage with a 27 km kayak, 8 km road cycle and 3 km run to the finish.

The Motu 160 is a 65 km mountain bike ride followed by a 90 km road cycle to the finish.

The Motu Challenge is one of New Zealand's premier multisport races, with over NZ$30,000 worth of prizes.

Previous winners include Richard and Elina Ussher and Gordon Walker.

Both events can be entered individually or as a team.
