Come and visit an island paradise where the beaches are pristine white sand, where the sea is a sparkling aqua and the waves are a surfer’s dream.
Wander the tracks through regenerating native bush to soak in a natural hot pool before tackling a climb up to stay in an overnight hut with stunning panoramic views. Listen out in the night for the call of the endangered black petrel as they come and go from their burrows. They are only found on Great Barrier and Little Barrier islands.
Walk along the streams and look for the rare and endangered chevron skink basking on a rock in the sun. Have a conversation with our native kaka as they forage on the bark of the trees or the piwakawaka (fantail) as it keeps you company on your walk.
