Dunedin Airport has direct flights to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and connecting flights to other regional centres with Air New Zealand and Jetstar.

International flights are operated by Virgin Australia(opens in new window) between Dunedin and Brisbane, Australia.

Domestic flights to and from Dunedin are operated by Air New Zealand(opens in new window) and Jetstar(opens in new window), connecting Dunedin with Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Dunedin Airport is located 29 kilometres south of the City Centre, in Momona.

Shuttle

Approximately $20 for one person, $30 for two and discounts for groups of two or more

A shuttle(opens in new window) is a cost-effective way to travel into the city. Discounts apply if two or more people are travelling together. Shuttles are normally shared with other passenger groups. The journey can take up to 45 minutes at peak traffic times or when there are several drop-offs along the way. Allow plenty of time to reach the airport for departing flights. Please note that the price can vary depending on your destination.

Taxi

Approximately $90 - about 20 to 30 minutes

The above fare and travel time are for taxi journeys between the airport and the city centre. If you’re travelling to the airport by taxi, make sure you allow plenty of time.

Limousine Transfer (Executive Transfer)

$85 fixed rate to city centre – about 25 minutes

The above fare and travel time are for limo journeys between the airport and the city centre. If you’re travelling to the airport by limo, make sure you allow plenty of time.

Car rental

Major rental car companies have offices at the terminal building. Bookings are strongly recommended.

There is a selection of freshly made Japanese cuisine available from Skyline Sushi, along with excellent coffee and a selection of tasty treats at Chamber of Coffee near the top of the escalator. Fuel to Fly by Airspresso takes centre stage on level 1, with restaurant quality dishes available in both a la carte and cabinet ready-to-go offerings.
